what you can expect to learn
What will you learn?
The Hair professional level 2 apprenticeship has been developed tonsure that you are working towards the professional hairdressing standards, building you technical skills and to give you an understanding of current policies and processes related to the hairdressing industry.
As an apprentice you will learn in the salon on the job and also off the job at the Academy a range of hairdressing skills including hands-on skills
how to shampoo and condition hair,
cut hair using a range of techniques,
style & finish to create a variety of looks as well as colour & lighten hair.

End point assessment
once the hairdressing qualification has been completed you will have a final assessment
The end-point assessment (EPA) is designed to take a snap-shot assessment of the learner's practical skills a final assessment – from styling techniques to customer service.
What is End-Point Assessment?
End-Point Assessment is the final test for apprentices during their apprenticeship. It is designed to be an objective and impartial assessment of an apprentice’s knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Bespoke Hairdressing training recognises that salons want to train their apprentice to their way of working and we want you as part of our team.
BHT was formed in 2015 by Blanche Adams and Tracey Reed. Together we have been in the industry for more years than we care to mention. We have both owned our own salons and programme managed hairdressing provisions for other providers and felt the time had come to deliver our own quality training with our local salon owners that we know are so passionate about passing on our skills to the next generation of stylists.
We felt that the apprenticeship should be delivered where it belongs in the work place and in conjunction with Cheynes Training our umbrella company that draw the government funding we are now able to offer this.
BHT is focused on providing quality Hairdressing.
What are Hairdressing Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are proven to be one of the most effective ways to train and develop a loyal and highly skilled workforce for your salon.
Apprenticeships are an excellent way for young people to gain qualifications and workplace experience whilst at the same time earning a wage. An Apprenticeship is essentially a set of qualifications called a ‘framework’or a ‘standard’ and follow a format that comprises of either:
Hair professional level 2 Standard
The Hair Professional Standard ( Level 2 & includes technical units at level 3 units), Functional skills Math’s and English up to level 2, and a gateway to end point assessment this Incorporates 20% off the job training

Bespoke Self employed Salon days
Please be aware that on non-training days at the Bespoke Hair Academy Salon, the stylists are Self-Employed
On non-training days at the Bespoke Hair Academy, our salon runs as a commercial self-employed salon space
Statement to clients :
We provide a vibrant and diverse environment where self-employed stylists rent space to serve their valued clients for their independent businesses.
As a client of these self-employed stylists, it is essential to understand the nature of the relationship and the responsibilities involved, therefore we have put some guidance together for you.

We kindly request that all clients be in direct contact with their chosen stylist to arrange appointments and carry out consultations to ensure your individual satisfaction.

A self-employed stylist is individually responsible for their own service, In the unlikely event of any complaints or claims, we ask that clients directly communicate with the respective self-employed stylist that they are working with, rather than approaching the salon.

To facilitate a smooth experience, all appointments, where applicable, should be arranged and maintained by or for the self-employed stylist. This allows for efficient scheduling and ensures that each client receives the dedicated time and attention they deserve.

For casual clients entering the salon, we want to ensure that you can make an informed decision about whom you choose to patronise.

We will display our stylist's information with a list of their specialities, each has their own pricing structure and price lists are available and displayed but to ensure clarity a free consultation where a specific quote can be given relevant to your individual need is advised. This way, you have all the necessary information to make a choice based on your preferences and requirements.

Each stylist is responsible for their own timing structure and we will endeavour to be able to estimate your appointment time, if your stylist is not going to meet that time they will inform you of any waiting time.

Cancellation policies are displayed and advertised within the salon, it is the sole decision of each stylist to exercise this policy on an individual basis

We respect the privacy and confidentiality of client information and ensure that it remains within the control of the self-employed stylist who is responsible for storage and maintenance.

All details, records, and addresses of clients who receive attention from their self-employed stylist are the property of the respective stylist and are maintained following GDPR regulations.
